Postgraduate and Honours Funding Opportunities:

2002-2005

The Cooperative Research Centre for Greenhouse Accounting is again offering postgraduate funding opportunities. We offer research grants ($20 000 for PhD and $10 000 for Masters students), for students of exceptional academic merit who propose research topics of interest to the central research goals of the CRC, and who are likely to receive APA, IPRS or equivalent support for study at an Australian university. We also have a strictly limited number of fully-funded PhD scholarships available for outstanding applicants.

Applications for funding to commence in the second half of 2002 closed 31 May 2002. A further round of funding will be advertised in September 2002.

Honours Scholarships

The Cooperative Research Centre for Greenhouse Accounting is again offering Honours scholarships, for students commencing fourth-year Honours in first semester 2002. The intention of the CRC GA in offering Honours scholarships is to encourage students to develop greenhouse-related research skills, and to fund short-duration research projects of interest to the central research aims of the CRC.

Scholarships are each valued at $2,500. In addition, all the costs of your attendance at the Annual Science Meeting of the CRC will be covered, allowing you to benefit from interacting with scientists and students in the CRC.

You will benefit from working with leading Australian and international researchers in the field of carbon accounting, in an organisation that is committed to furthering our knowledge of the terrestrial carbon cycle as part of the study of global change.
